At the core of Sunshine Pictures is Vipul Amrutlal Shah, a filmmaker, visionary, and creative force behind some of Bollywood’s most enduring films. His journey from theatre to television to mainstream cinema reflects his belief in stories that move audiences both emotionally and socially.
As the founder and guiding spirit of Sunshine Pictures, he has built not just a production company, but a creative ecosystem founded on integrity, innovation, and teamwork. His direction has led the company through changing times, keeping its focus on quality, originality, and purpose-driven entertainment.
Shefali Vipul Shah
Shefali Shah is an acclaimed, National Award–winning Indian actress known for her powerful, nuanced performances across film, television, and streaming platforms. Over a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, she has delivered memorable roles in celebrated projects including Satya, Monsoon Wedding, Dil Dhadakne Do, Ajeeb Daastaans, Jalsa, Darlings & Human earning a reputation as one of the finest actors of her generation.
Shefali gained international recognition for her portrayal of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in Netflix’s Delhi Crime, a role that contributed to the series’ historic win for Best Drama at the 48th International Emmy Awards. Her performance also earned her an International Emmy nomination. Among her many accolades are a National Film Award for The Last Lear, Filmfare Awards, a Tokyo International Film Festival honour, and the Asian Academy Creative Award.
Expanding her creative footprint Shefali turned director with her short films Happy Birthday Mummy ji and Someday and is one of the creative pillars at Sunshine Pictures.
She recently turned executive producer with the third season of Delhi Crime, marking a significant new chapter in her artistic journey.
